Orchard in which the propagated Hall grapefruit trees were established.
The Hall grapefruit lineage was established at Hall Orchard when orange trees were top-worked to grapefruit between 1896 and 1898. The scions were taken from a grapefruit seedling grown by A. P. Harwood near 22nd Street and Euclid Avenue in Upland. Historical Riverside notes state that Mr. Buffington performed the budding.
