Argentine Trifoliate is identified by UCR as Poncirus trifoliata, with its parents listed as unknown. UCR records that budwood was received from Joe Furr, USDCS, Indio, California, from Yuma, Arizona, in 1958. USDA lists the same material as PI 539757, cultivar Argentina, local name Argentine trifoliate.[1][2]
UCR lists Carrizo and C-35 citranges as rootstocks of its Argentine trifoliate accession and gives an October–November ripening season at Riverside. Its notes mention budwood movement from UCLA to Yuma without dating that route. The profile lists the accession as not commercially available in California.[1]
