Citremon

UCR accession records list Citremon CRC 1448 (cutting A) and CRC 1449 (cutting B) as received from W. T. Swingle, USDA, in June 1924, and list its parentage/origins as Poncirus trifoliata × Citrus limon. The UCR records do not name a lemon cultivar, original hybridization date, breeder, location, or directional parent roles. Lisbon lemon is named in a Tough Citrus uploader description, but this detail is not corroborated by the UCR records.^{⁠[1]⁠[7]⁠[8]}

The Mulberries’ two tastings describe Citremon fruit as lemon-like with herbal or savory notes. One video distinguishes a round form from a ribbed/fingered form, with different seediness and juice; the other calls juice medium and acidity high. Sourness and bitterness differ by reviewed sample and wording, so these are source-specific observations rather than cultivar-wide ratings. Reviewers describe culinary use and sweetened, diluted juice as preferences.^{⁠[4]⁠[10]}

UCR lists October–November ripening at Riverside for both accessions. CRC 1448 is recorded on Carrizo citrange; CRC 1449 on Carrizo and C-35 citrange. These records describe UCR collection trees; their relationship to current nursery material is not established.^⁠[1]⁠[7]
