ClemYuz 3-3 is one of Dr. John R. Brown’s Clementine × Yuzu seedlings, with Clementine as the seed parent and Yuzu as the pollen parent. The specific Clementine clone is not identified; Algerian Clementine remains the catalog’s inferred parent label.[1]
The historical Ten-Degree Tangerine name referred to ClemYuz 3-3 in 1993 publications. A modern The Mulberries video applies the name to a separately identified ClemYuz 2-2 and compares it directly with ClemYuz 3-3. The sources do not document a name transfer or propagation link between these selections.[2][3][6]
Descriptions of ClemYuz 3-3 vary by source. Nagle describes late-ripening fruit about 5–7 cm in diameter, with 10–12 segments and largely seedless; the Ichang handout describes orange, smooth-peel, juicy fruit and seed counts that vary with pollination. In eyeckr’s 2018 comparison, 3-3 fruit was very juicy with a tightly adhered rind and a kerosene-like or skunky flavor he disliked; he found ClemYuz 2-2 earlier and preferred its fruit when fully ripe. These accounts are not a matched trial.[2][3][5]
