Selection of Dunstan Citrumelo
Other names: Dunstan LeVert
Dunstan LeVert is a named off-type selection of Dunstan Citrumelo described by The Mulberries. The reported source is a citrus planting at Aquinas High School in Augusta, Georgia, and the name honors Joe LeVert, who planted citrus there with students. Whether it arose as a seedling or mutation remains unresolved.[1][2]
In The Mulberries’ review, one Ross-supplied fruit weighed 366 g and measured 8 °Brix, with pH estimated near 3 using a color strip. The presenter described juicy, grapefruit-like flesh with milder resinous off-flavor, bitterness and sourness than standard Dunstan. The video and forum post describe the same sample; LeVert-specific cold hardiness has not been established.[2][1]
