Frost Lisbon Lemon

UCR records Frost Lisbon as a seedling from an old-line Lisbon lemon received as seed by H. B. Frost at Riverside in 1917 and released about 1950.^⁠[1]

The UCR accession page reproduces a general Lisbon description of medium, elliptical-to-oblong fruit with a prominent nipple, usually few seeds, yellow color at maturity, a medium-thick tightly adherent rind, about 10 segments, a small solid core, and pale greenish-yellow tender, juicy flesh. The profile says the main crop comes in winter and early spring; it does not report these as measurements or observations from the Frost accession.^⁠[1]

The UCR page repeats the general Lisbon account of a vigorous, upright-spreading, large, thorny, densely foliated, productive tree. Those cultivar-level descriptions are not identified as observations of CRC 3176.^⁠[1]

The same general Lisbon account says the fruit is usually smoother and less ribbed than Eureka, with a more prominent nipple and areolar furrow and a more gradual taper, while noting that fruit characters overlap and small samples may be hard to identify. This comparison is cultivar-level, not specific to the Frost accession.^⁠[1]
