Ichang Papeda (IVIA-358)
Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA), Banco de Germoplasma de Cítricos
Official IVIA accession profile for IVIA-358. It identifies the profile as Papeda de Ichang, Citrus ichangensis, code IVIA-358, and lists origin as “Silvestre” and pattern as Citrange Carrizo. It describes IVIA-358 as having larger flowers and fruit than IVIA-235, with flattened fruit and a persistent style. The origin field is not interpreted as a documented selection or pedigree; the rootstock field is specific to the profile.

In post 24, Ilya11 names IVIA-358 and IVIA-235 as distinct accessions and describes IVIA-358 as having larger flowers. The post attributes almost-seedless fruit of “rather good quality” to IVIA-358; this is an unscaled qualitative report, not a measured fruit or taste result. It does not establish a parentage, propagation history, or an individual tree identity.

In reply #4607, ilya11 identifies IVIA-358 as another pigmented C. ichangensis variety and links the official IVIA-358 profile. This supports the accession identification path only; it does not report fruit traits, cold performance, parentage, or propagation of the IVIA-358 accession.

The first-person Agrumi page reports that the author's own 17-year-old, two-meter Ichang seedling was grown from seed supplied by IVIA; it explicitly distinguishes the seedling from its IVIA-358 mother by leaf texture (the mother has blistered leaves, the seedling smoother leaves). The page also states a general established-Ichang −15°C claim, but gives no test protocol or accession-specific exposure; do not transfer that threshold to IVIA-358. The page's own seedling observation is not a measurement of the IVIA-358 accession.

The Materials studied inventory lists “Papeda Ichang, 358, IVIA” under C. ichangensis Swingle. This supports inclusion of an IVIA sample numbered 358 identified as Papeda Ichang in the study panel. The passage does not give accession-specific fruit or plant traits, a pedigree, or an ancestry result; it is not evidence of equivalence to a CRC accession.
