Secondary cultivar page. It attributes origin and traditional horticultural description to Hodgson (1967), including approximate Mediterranean-to-Florida introduction around 1880 and variable blood color. Separately attributes 1999 industry release and St. Cloud budwood provenance to Chiefland Budwood Facility (2010), specifically clone DPI-441-10; do not present this as Ruby's original cultivar release or infer a breeder. Taxonomy section reproduces differing cited treatments rather than molecular confirmation. Page morphology table and Hodgson description are source-specific; color is favorable-condition and region dependent.

Part II by B. M. Lelong; Ruby orange account at printed p. 20 (PDF p. 24). The page separately quotes USDA Bulletin No. 1 (1887) and reports Lelong's July 21, 1891 observation of E. W. Holmes's Riverside specimens. Historical report; not accession-wide measurement.
