Notes
“Swingle trifoliate” does not indicate a hybrid and should not be confused with Swingle citrumelo (a grapefruit × poncirus hybrid). Instead, it refers to a pure poncirus selection used and distributed by USDA programs associated with Swingle’s work. Like Rubidoux and Rich 16-6, it emerged from selection within seedling populations, then propagated to maintain uniformity.
