Dimicelli is a cold-hardy citrus hybrid associated with John R. Brown’s Texas breeding work. As a working hypothesis, it is treated here as CiTemple-family × Clementine of unspecified cultivar, consistent with the reported one-half Clementine, one-quarter Temple and one-quarter Poncirus ancestry; the cross direction is unreported. This working parentage is not genetically confirmed and conflicts with the earlier account of Algerian Clementine × Poncirus. Tom_GA reports that fruit supplied earlier in 2025 by Virginia Fruit Grower looked and tasted like a decent Clementine, though somewhat sour by comparison. He later said he preferred that fruit to ClemYuzu 2-2; this refers to the same fruit sample.^⁠[2]

Perplexed reports no damage at 12°F (−11.1°C) and excellent dormancy for a Dimicelli grafted on “942.” The forum post was dated May 1, 2025; the freeze date, duration, protection, plant age, thermometer placement, and trial location were not reported.^⁠[4]
