The original post is a stock notice. In a later comment explaining the choice, mrjbacon says zone 6a hardiness and container overwintering mattered and repeats an unreferenced rind-oil claim. No cold trial, measured rind oil, or tasting is reported. The author separately says Four Winds trees are grafted on dwarfing rootstock; the Madison-rootstock statement is explicitly a guess.

The article profiles “Genova” and equates it with “Genoa.” It gives qualitative fruit and tree descriptions, including few stones and high juice content, and makes an unreferenced relative cold/frost claim. No named accession, sampled location, measurements, trial design, or supporting citation is provided; retain these as secondary profile claims.

Visible byline is Anna-Marie Barnes, while CMS metadata lists Sharon Watt; the article says it was originally published on lifestyleblock.co.nz. The secondary profile compares Genoa with Eureka and frames July–December fruiting specifically for the New Zealand climate, with near-year-round fruiting described for Southern Hemisphere regions such as Chile. No trial method or temperature threshold is provided.
