Ikiriki Satsuma

Nishiura’s historical account describes Ikiriki as having a rather dwarf growth habit and very large, excellent-quality fruit. The Hodgson group description reproduced by Pittwater describes the old local group as small and compact, with low productivity and seedless fruit. These historical descriptions are not tied to a modern accession. Iwamasa’s 1988 diagram places Ikiriki in the selection lineage Zairai → Ikiriki → Owari.^{⁠[1]⁠[2]⁠[3]}
