Keith NC’s post reports that 7* Kumquat is also called Nameiwa and did well and was shy-bearing. The post date is used here; it is not necessarily the thread’s opening date. It gives no tree age, rootstock, or temperature context, and does not establish 7°F as a hardiness threshold.

The opening post presents Nameiwa as a Nagami × Meiwa cross while asking how it compares with Nordmann Seedless; it does not cite the cross claim. A respondent says they have never tasted Nameiwa. This thread provides no firsthand Nameiwa fruit description.

On p. 15, Nagle describes Nameiwa as Nagami × Meiwa in a paragraph about Yuzuquat, then gives Yuzuquat’s reported cross as Nameiwa × Yuzu. The source does not identify a Nameiwa originator, selection date, or numbered Nameiwa selection.
