UCR reports that the parent tree of Rubidoux was planted at the old Rubidoux site of the University of California Citrus Research Center in Riverside about 1907 and came from R. M. Teague Nursery Company in San Dimas. This records parent-tree planting, not the selection date or original parents of the named selection.
