A citrus hybrid rootstock derived from Citrus taiwanica (Taiwanica Lemon / Nanshodaidai-type) crossed with Poncirus trifoliata. Seed was obtained from Dr. Soost (UCR) and distributed by Bill Chapman. TaiTri exhibits exceptional cold tolerance for a 50% Poncirus hybrid, surviving temperatures near 0°F with minimal damage, and is notable for producing juice with reduced off-flavors compared to other Poncirus hybrids.
