UFR-15 is a University of Florida citrus rootstock identified as selection 46 × 20-04-37. Its patent describes a diploid hybrid of Hirado Buntan pink pummelo and Cleopatra mandarin. The 2014 FFSP sheet also calls it diploid in its description, although one photo caption uses the inconsistent term “tetrazyg.”[3][1]
The UF/IFAS fifth-edition rootstock guide lists first commercial availability in 2015 and large tree size. Seedling uniformity is listed as 10–49%, with a warning that seedlings are highly variable; the guide leaves freeze tolerance unreported.[2]
