PP28091 describes UFR-17 (Green #2) as an allotetraploid zygotic hybrid produced by a sexual cross between two somatic-hybrid parents previously created by protoplast fusion: [Nova mandarin hybrid + Hirado Buntan pummelo zygotic seedling] and [sour orange + Carrizo citrange]. The plus signs denote the somatic-fusion parents; they are not separate sexual crosses. FFSP's tetrazyg designation is retained as source terminology, without treating it as a contradiction of tetraploidy. No current patent legal-status claim is recorded.

The UFR-17 description reports a tetraploid allotetraploid zygotic hybrid made from two prior somatic hybrids. The tested Green #2 selection had 18–26 seeds per fruit and was described as mostly polyembryonic. These are cultivar-description observations; no embryo-count denominator or zygotic rate is reported.
