EncoreLS Mandarin (Encore IR6; CRC 4204, VI 766) is an irradiated selection of Encore according to UCR; no irradiation date or dose is given. Roose and Williams (2008) describe it as late-maturing, beginning in March, with 1.7–3.5 seeds per fruit versus 22–32 for Encore, fruit that holds well into summer, and a thin green-spotted rind. UCR’s current Riverside evaluation window is March–May; the collection received budwood from the UCR Breeding Program in 2008. The selection remains unreleased for observation only, with budwood unavailable.[1]
