Hev’s retrospective account says seeds later catalogued as SRA240 and SRA241 were introduced to SRA San Giuliano in 1987; it does not identify their individual seed parents or pollen source. Separately, a forum reply later edited in 2026 attributes SRA241 to a pigmented seedling from seed said to have come from the Beibei/Chongqing area. That account is unverified. No verified genetic parentage or identity link to CRC 3931 or IVIA 358 is established.[1][2]
In reply #4586, Ilya11 reported a Poncirus-grafted SRA241 tree that produced its first several fruits after four years in the ground and earlier flowering without fruit. Flowers were reported in late April, with fruit color beginning in early October. In the described preparation, the post gives 11 g of flesh and 10 g total seed mass, but no fruit count or weighing method; these are not whole-fruit weights. The fruit was described as not very juicy with a piney smell.[1]
Fruit reports attributed to SRA241 conflict. In topic 388, alias described fruit as seedless and too bitter to eat; in a separate ProBoards reply, Ilya11 reported seeds in fruit from a tree identified as SRA241. The reports concern unmatched samples and do not establish a universal seedless or bitterness trait.[3][1]
