Hev’s retrospective account says Ichang papeda budwood later catalogued as SRA687 was introduced to SRA San Giuliano in 1987, quarantined, and micrografted. He reports that the vegetatively propagated material conformed to its source mother plant; this is not a genetic identity test or known pedigree.[1]
Forum contributors report variation in SRA687 fruit. Pierre-Jean L says fruit normally contains seeds and can sometimes contain many. Paf compares two fruits from different years: one was small with aborted seeds and little or no juice; the other was larger and juicy, with at least about twenty large seeds. These are individual reports, not a quantified accession-wide range.[2]
