Notes
A chance seedling of Taiwanica lemon and either satsuma or Keraji discovered by the YouTuber Virginia Fruit Grower. He says he planted many Taiwanica lemon seeds in a pot, took the most vigorous one and planted it in ground.
Ripen around Halloween. Very easy to peel, highly aromatic. Pleasant lemon/mandarin taste, somewhat like tart lemonade. Fruit is seedy. Tree is thorny.
In 2014, in a freeze of 33°F (0°C), the tree on it's own roots died, but a backup grafted about 4 feet up on Flying Dragon survived.
Around 2010, he gave seeds to a friend in Keev, Ukraine. These were transferred in 2012-2013 to the world famous Nikita/Nikitsky Botanical Gardens in Crimea.
