Notes

A distinct, named cultivar of trifoliate orange best known for its extreme dwarfing effect, contorted growth habit, and high cold tolerance. While Flying Dragon itself is fully cold-hardy, some modern observations suggest it may not consistently impart greater cold hardiness to grafted scions compared with standard trifoliate orange, particularly beyond the graft union. It is widely regarded as the most dwarfing citrus rootstock in existence and remains of interest to breeders for its unique genetics.
