Notes

The major positive attributes of this new rootstock are induction of superior fruit productivity and fruit quality on sweet orange trees grown in the Florida flatwoods and infected with Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Las), the causal agent of huanglongbing (HLB). Said to taste like mango by Avery of "The Mulberries" YouTube channel in a fruit review. In a later video, Avery lists US-1279 in his top 5 trifoliate hybrids.
